An interactive app designed to work towards bridging the learning gaps that students with special needs face.
Features:
This app has three main features. One is a text-to-speech feature in which the student can write a prompt, and in return receives an audio output of the prompt being read aloud. This feature aims to assist students with reading difficulties, visual impairments, or language processing challenges. It promotes independent learning and allows students to engage with written content in an auditory format. The second feature contains interactive resources such as a 3D math game and mindfulness activity videos to make the learning experience engaging, enjoyable, and less stressful. The third feature is a built-in sign language chart to enhance the user's linguistic skills.
After witnessing the daily challenges students with learning disabilities face at my school, from accessing educational resources to encountering barriers in communication, I wanted to use my skills to create an app to help these students and work towards bridging the learning gaps that they face. By creating this app, I aim to contribute to fostering inclusivity in education and empowering these students to thrive academically and personally.
